Picada 15 White is a bright & refreshing blend of Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc (topped off with the tiniest bit of Pinot Noir, adding an interesting little twist) that can be enjoyed immediately. Produced from grapes grown in the highest altitude vineyards in San Patricio de Cha?ar in the Neuquen province of Argentina, Picada 15 is a top-quality value from the bottom of the world.

Yellow colour with green tints. Aromas of tropical fruit and pink grapefruit with a touch of apple and pineapple from the Chardonnay. This is a young and lively wine that is fresh and crisp on the palate with a dry finish.

2006 Newton Claret $24.95

US, CA, Coastal

Brilliant California fruit to the forefront is the hallmark of Newton Red Label wines. Sourced from Newton's estate vineyards and other Napa, Sonoma and coastal vineyards these wines are made in the Newton tradition to showcase the purity of fruit.

Composition: 60% Merlot, 24%Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Cabernet Franc. Bordeaux fans will appreciate the casual sophistication and elegant structure of this wine. The wine opens with aromas of blueberries, cranberries, and strawberries with touches of cassis. On the palate ripe tannins surround rich black cherries, blackberries and plum flavors with a hind of tasted oak balanced with a nice acidity.

The ripe berry qualities of our Claret provide for an exceptional range of food pairing options, such as our favorite, a mushroom and Swiss cheese hamburger. Also try Claret with grilled pork tenderloin and a cranberry sauce, or bacon pancetta salad.

2005 Benegas Finca Libertad $26.95

Argentina, Upper Mendoza River Bank, Cruz de Piedra, Maip?, Mendoza

This blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Cabernet Franc and 13% Merlot was produced with single vineyards up to 85 year old vines from Finca Libertad and captures all the elegance of these noble grapes combining them together in a wine of great fineness and complexity. Aging 18 months in French oak casks.

Because of its aging potential the red color of this wine -deep and brilliant- will evolve into different shades of brick red, a typical feature that shows its elegance. These noble grapes provide the wine particular aromas. The Cabernet Sauvignon provides complexity, the Merlot its softness, and the Cabernet Franc (a variety present in the great Medoc, Saint Emilion and Pomerol), the special mint taste. It is a wine with a strong personality in the mouth, surprisingly perfectly balanced and harmonious.
